چکیده

Abstract We report measurements of the angular distributions low momentum atmospheric muons at 38 m above sea level for zenith angles θ between -60 and 60 degrees in south-north direction. The muon detection was performed with two NaI(Tl) scintillation detectors mounted coincidence. An adjustable lead thickness placed allowed to select a minimal ranging from 0.3 0.9 GeV/c. integrated differential flux were determined by analyzing deposited energy spectra scintillators backed up Geant4 simulation experimental setup. results are consistent cos n ( ) distribution good agreement literature. These data contribute fill gap geomagnetic cutoff rigidity interval 8 GV < P c 14 where no similar before. found that = 1.88 - 0.12 μ this domain momenta 1 present useful many studies requiring an accurate flux.

Atmospheric Loss during High Angular Momentum Giant

Introduction. During the end stage of planet formation , terrestrial planets are expected to experience a number of giant impacts. Understanding how much of the planet's atmosphere is lost to space during such collisions is vital to be able to determine the origin and evolution of planetary atmospheres. Recently, geo-chemical observations [1, 2] and high angular momentum models for the Moon-for...

A simple approach to the angular momentum distribution in the ground states of many-body systems

We propose a simple approach to predict the angular momentum I ground state (Ig.s.) probabilities of many-body systems that does not require the diagonalization of hamiltonians with random interactions. This method is found to be applicable to all cases that have been discussed: even and odd fermion systems (both in single-j and many-j shells), and boson (both sd and sdg) systems. A simple rela...

Angular momentum of walking at different speeds.

Recently, researchers in robotics have used regulation of the angular momentum of body segments about the total body center of mass (CoM) to develop control strategies for bipedal gait. This work was spurred by reports finding that for a "large class" of human movement tasks, including standing, walking, and running the angular momentum is conserved about the CoM. However, there is little data ...

Atmospheric muons and neutrinos

This paper is a mini-review of the atmospheric muon and neutrino flux calculations based upon a recent version of CORT code and up-to-date data on primary cosmic rays and hadronic interactions. A comparison of calculations with a representative set of atmospheric muon data for momenta below ∼ 1 TeV/c is presented. The overall agreement between the calculated muon fluxes and the data provides an...
